Business admin support
that gives you back your time
Move back to the work you do best
Running a business or working within an organisation often means that as responsibilities grow, so does the admin. When admin is competing with client work, decision-making, or delivery, it becomes harder to move forward.
That’s where business admin support makes a difference. Working with me takes the pressure off and keeps things moving so you can focus, and the work that matters doesn’t keep getting pushed aside.
Meet Zoe Shepherd
Head Fox
I support small businesses and not for profits with admin and bookkeeping. I’m trusted with
Finances and payroll
Board reporting and audits
Event coordination
Confidential matters and public-facing communications
My background started in food science which led to technical and admin support within tertiary education, followed by four years working in a school office and as a board secretary, alongside supporting my husband's tradie business.
I work independently, take initiative, and know where my lane is - getting on with the work while bringing things back when decisions are needed. I get huge satisfaction from seeing clients achieve better outcomes because the admin work behind the scenes is handled properly.
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying our Kiwi backyard. I like finding new trails to tramp, rivers to swim in, or beaches to get my toes sandy. I'm a big reader, I drink nearly anything with mint and lime and I love laughing with my family.
How does it all work?
Enquire + Initial Chat
Send through an enquiry, and we'll set up a chat in person, over the phone, or online. We'll talk through what you need and whether I'm the right fit.
Discovery Call
We'll look at what's on your plate, what's pulling focus, and where support would make the biggest difference. You don't need to have everything worked out; that's part of the process.
Proposal
You'll receive a proposal outlining the suggested support, scope, and approach. This is your chance to ask questions, make tweaks, and be sure it feels right before committing.
What happens next?
Service Agreement
Once we're aligned, we formalise things with a service agreement so expectations are clear on both sides.
Onboarding
We get access and systems set up. Our communication methods are defined. Quick wins are tackled first.
Ongoing Support
Admin tasks start getting ticked off. You will receive regular updates and reporting. You get back to the work that actually needs you.
Time back to focus on what matters most
Before Zoe, we were fumbling along - most of the committee working in their own businesses, with no time to streamline our systems and processes. Now, thanks to Zoe, our systems are streamlined, and we're more focused on growth and connecting with the community.
Rosie Scott, Chairperson, Paeroa Business Association
Insightful, efficient and considerate
Zoe's superpower is her ability to quickly understand what's needed and find the solutions. Her communication is second to none, and her ability to anticipate situations is amazing. She is such a great addition to the team.
Julie Stephenson, Secretary, Hauraki Plains Community Hub
Working with Zoe is truly easy
I know I can rely on her to deliver without drama — she is passionate about delivering excellent service and it is reassuring to know that she is hugely practical and has outstanding problem-solving expertise.
Gina Nicholas, WINTEC
Support you can trust
When you outsource admin and bookkeeping, you need confidence it's being handled properly. That comes from real experience, not just training.
I've worked across school administration, board support, bookkeeping, and the day-to-day reality of running a small business — including supporting my husband's tradie operations and our short term accommodation.
My work is backed by formal bookkeeping training, membership with the Virtual Assistant Network of New Zealand (VANNZ), and ongoing development through mentoring and upskilling.
